hi, i'm new to this forum and need some serious help from experienced pisto heads.

have a 2006 350z roadster and do not drive it during the winter other than the odd start up to keep the battery alive.

last week i made the mistake of opening the roof. mistake because with the 350z the roof should not be opened when it is cold as it makes the fabric very taut and difficult to operate.

the roof will now not close fully. the rear lock will not pull the roof closed so i found service bulletin adjustments and carried out the exact instructions but still no good.

I think the auto closure wire keeps lengthening during each open/close operation.

does anyone know what to do?

Call a Nissan dealer and ask them what to do?

It might be faster and more reliable than waiting for the internet to come up with something better.

There might even be something useful in the manual, but I'd call the dealer first because it's getting near closing time.

Better not to open rag tops (especially with glass rear screens) until you've warmed the cabin a bit to avoid you cracking rear glass screen etc. It also helps the motors as opposed to going right at it after a frosty night.
Have you tried warming your cabin by leaving your engine on for 10 mins blowing hot air out into the almost closed roof that you have.
It may just be enough for the motors and fabric to loosen off and let you close it.
