Suzuki Baleno 1995 opinions (for a family member)

So have a very odd question for a petrol head site...


A family member has been offered the mentioned car for free to use while the owner is overseas for what looks like one whole year. Now his current vehicle just died and is a scrapper MOT fail.

So yes he could buy plenty of cars up to say a budget of £10k but given the offer its totally free motoring for 1 year would he be mad not to take it on? Milage would be c20k.


So any reviews of the car or experiences or is it a case of heck just try it for a laugh what's the worst that could happen.

Worth a go picked a 1995 one up in 2003 for £700 for the wife and sold it for £650 4 years later. Only issue was the radiator needed changing after about 12 months. Also worth noting is the indicators are on the opposite side to european cars.
