Help me guess the car

A friend of mine secretly bought a new car that he's collecting on Thursday. I've been racking my brain for the past 2 days and I cannot guess what it is.

This is what I know:
It will be used for commuting ~10miles (4 people)
He's insulted by the suggestion its a diesel
He's hinted that it has a big spoiler
He's scared of RWD(but its a commuter so he may man up for this car)
He wouldn't buy anything older than 3-4years (although this is not a certainty)

Budget will be anything from 18k-60k

I've guessed Evo, Impreza, All S and RS Audi Models, Range Rover Sport, Merc G wagon, C63 AMG, e63 AMG, M5, Cayenne, Panamera, 911, GTR, Maserati Granturismo, VXR8, Jaguar XFS, GT86, Bentley Continental.

Any more suggestions of what it could be?

That's the only 4 seater I can think of that can sport a big spoiler.

Well and truly stumped. Come on PH, if somebody vaguely describes the smell of a car you can normally guess it

Sorry about that, since work yesterday we were out in the car until late so I haven't been on PH since.

My apologies as this was a waste of time because the car doesn't have a spoiler. He told me it did to keep me the surprise as I'd guessed it. Although as PH hadn't come up with any clear suggestions it was obvious the car he described didn't exist

He bought an 08 e60 M5 Value for money I can't think of anything that comes close, the C63 AMGs are quite a lot more expensive with no clear reason why.

The only gripe being the SMG3 gearbox, its slow at low revs and seems to hold onto gears too long.

I'll give him some PH points though, he's managed to persuade himself a 5.0 V10 is a decent buy for a run-around
