Just wondering.
Why would you have frontwheels both doing the steering and powering the car?

Why would anyone choose a FWD over a RWD from a drivers perspective?

Yep Integra Type R drivers buy it purely for it's load carrying ability!

FFS! Well it's been a few weeks since one of these threads I guess....

I would rather spank my ZS180 across a challenging country lane than my Dad's old RX8. The ZS is more rewarding, feelsome and yet is less likely to punt me backwards into the scenery.

FWD cars can handle astonishingly well, RWD can be piles of poo. And visa versa...

99.9% of people who buy cars don't care about RWD or FWD. They only buy it to get from A to B

Possibly the stupidest thread i've ever seen posted on here.

Seriously blinkered to even attempt to suggest that unless you buy RWD you don't care about handling.

Dread to think what you have to say about 4WD

Can you honestly see no reason at all for FWD cars to exist or why people would buy them? Or is this just a troll post?

OP - have you ever driven a (FWD) Passat with Bluemotion Technology?

Didn't think so. Who needs RWD when you have Bluemotion?

I had a Honda Accord Type R which had a fabulous chassis for a FWD but it would've probably been even better if it was RWD. RWD is definitely better but not so much for handling, more for the purity of steering it brings on decent cars.

Cost, weight, packaging, simpler break-away characteristics,...

Why do people even bother buying cars? Karts are supposed to be the 'purest' handling machines. We should all be driving around in a Rotax Max. smile

Much prefer my 172 Cup to my old 330 Touring. My 996 is better again admittedly but thats not entirely down to RWD v FWD I suspect.

Do people who start topics on PH generally not know what they are talking about?

Try a standard Mk1 Focus for a start. A really sweet handling car with excellent steering feel.

Or how about a Honda Accord Type-R.

If you genuinely don't think FWD cars handle, or that all RWD cars automatically handle better then you are misguided.
