ex lease vans?

Hello all,

My dad is after a van for fishing/mountain biking adventures, thinking a long wheel base caddy at the minute. Will be second hand due to budget. I have noticed that the majority are ex lease and can't decide it this is bad or not.

I realise that this is a massive generalisation but what are peoples opinions on ex lease?

My thoughts;
-been serviced when supposed to.
-cheaper
-often come with warranty

however;
-potentially driven like a rental
-hard to know real history of vehicle

Once again I know it will vary massively from van to van, just looking for general opinions or if anyone has done this and has tales to tell.
