I am currently applying for a job as a trainee driver.

What is the driving assessment part of the interview like?

What are the working hours and conditions like in general?

Driving assesment is normally a drive around the block in a transit.
Whats the job like?
Mmmmmmm, if you have not dealt with the public before, it will be an eye opener for sure!!!

Shifts can be hard if your married/have kids.
Normally loads of overtime.

I know a few Bus Drivers...they comment on the public quite a lot , ie arrogant and generally obnoxious.

I have a friend i knew from school, he was sacked from o2 and powergen for being so terrible at his job, then he was sacked from his job at a mental care home, as he watched a paitent he was on a 1-1 with choke almost to death while they were having dinner.

He's now a bus driver, i think you've got a real chance.

That auction deserves a post of its own!

I thought it was a genuine Bus for the OP until I saw the interior. A Lovely log burner which keeps whole bus warm and cosy and also a Welsh dresser and small cupboard included - how novel.

Looks very dodgy with the "school bus" sign and curtains!

many moons ago a friend of mine had an old coach he converted, had a wood burner in it. He also had catering trailer and a diesel genny consiting of a tractor engine connected up to a big dynamo, used for generating and as a massive arc welder (will see if I can scan and post the pics I have). In fact he made the towbar for my first car --- out of 3/4inch thick 3 inch angle iron!! but I digress.
