Can anyone translate that? They sound genuinely saddened by it.

Doesn't look like the Fezza is going that fast do pretty surprised it spun so easily. Reminds me of my MR2 days...

I would take a guess at traction control being in Race to back it off a bit, and a very indelicate application of right foot.

That's pretty much what I did the first time a planted my turbo MR2 in the wet. Speed has nothing to do with it its all to do with grip + skill <= torque. In my case I had loads of the right side of the equation but was a bit lacking in the rest.

My attempt was much more theatrical, involving a bus lane, two trees and cycle path and a rather nice grassed area. I learnt :-)

That's why serious drivers choose RWD.

Mine was in a typical country lane into a lone disused lamp post tongue out dodgy boost controller + lack of skills did play a part I admit. Although I guess I was lucky the front absorbed the impact pretty well (took out the spare tyre for weight saving). Whole front end caved in but I only suffered minor bruises. I've learnt a lot from that too smile

Saying that, how come the other Ferrari that overtook the 458 doesn't seem to be affected?

Yes. The owner quite clearly cares about the handling. If he/she hadn't, he/she would have been in something FWD.

That's how my second Westfield ended its days too. Wet dual carriageway in France, semi slick tyres, ahem, diesel on the road (there's always got to be diesel on the road in these incidences) and a ham fisted retard at the wheel. Pulled out to overtake a particularly lovely Aston Martin Virgage, third gear, clearly far too much throttle. Suddenly the car is heading for the hard shoulder. I corrected it but overdid it and I'm heading for the central reservation. Over corrected again and this time there was no going back. Hit the hard shoulder more or less square on, bounced off it and hit the central reservation for good measure. Fibre glass explosion, bits of car everywhere. A total epiphany of how untalented I really am!

Wow, that's really unfortunate, I'd also hazard a guess at the TC being wound right down as there's no way the car would let you do that if the driving aids were on, you'd just have a christmas tree of blinking lights on the dash telling you not to be so lead footed.

Looks like nobody was hurt so hopefully the driver is well insured and will learn a valuable lesson.

Also done much the same in my first two RWD cars before I learned, thankfully both ended with no damage, just lots of mud everywhere.

What other Ferrari? Car with camera in it is not a Ferrari.....unless they've started doing 4 door saloons.

I really enjoyed the parking ticket one, wish they would do that to those spoilt Arab daddy's boys with soft hands because they've never done a days physical graft in their lives who fart about in hyper cars in London while their infantile friends stand on the street videoing them and stroking themselves off.

If it's tuned anything like the system on the 430 then it's far from in fallible, even in its twitchiest setting given the right circumstances!

All of that is quite true....assuming the driver kept his foot down. Once the driver is no longer on the power then the car cannot do anything (what does it have that it can control?!). Quite possibly the driver would panic and lift off...hence the clever systems not being able to do their job.

All complete and utter speculation of course, however thought I'd respond to that particular point.
