I have thankfully just had the building permit approved for a 2 car, single story, stand alone garage which i am going to have built. basically, the outside is a simple box, about 5 metres long. I am looking for inspiration / tips / ideas on how to kit out the inside, to make it practical (I will need to keep some things in there not just 2 cars) but still look cool. I don't plan to be doing too much to the cars in there.

Any ideas folks? Suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks.

In my garage I've got as many things as possible hanging from the ceiling or walls, curently a kayak and three bicycles plus other tools, my roof rack etc. This frees up valuable floor space. Accessible storage space in the roof is also a great idea; perhaps look into getting roof trusses suitable for a garage loft, i.e. with a gap in the middle and strong enough to board and walk on - my parents have this and it's fantastic.
