Hey guys-

I have 2 moral dilemma's here. 1 with the dealer, one with the sales woman.

1- Took my car in for an MOT about November time.
I parked it up in the customer bit, gave them the keys and off on my merry way. About 4-5 hours later, i got a call from a sheepish aftersales guy.

Now, i had parked up next to 3 X5's, all black, all newish. And the wheel refurb guy had picked up the keys to my car, rather than the 2 he should have.
So end result is 2 refurbed wheels (result) and a new mini to drive about in for the day until the MOT it. However, after washing it this weekend, i noticed both have a bit of a poor finish on certain parts. Instead of being smooth and polished, they are a bit "grainy".
Now when I picked up the car in Dec 2011, i had to take it back as one alloy was flaking. Should I do the same again, as they were refurbed for free in the first place?

2- Going back to GAP and the original pick up.
Now i bought GAP with the dealer, as it was a bit less hassle (albeit, more expensive)
But I took out finance for 4 years. So when i signed the GAP for 3 i asked "Is this not for 4 years like the car?" and i remember the dealer saying "No- NO ONE DOES GAP FOR 4 YEARS".
Which now after getting it for the GF's Mini, i know is not the case.

Now, it was 15 months ago, and the sales woman was lovely, polite, professional (and very cute). Is it worth kicking up a fuss over with BMW HQ for them to refund part of, or extend or something?

1. Presumably the 'grainy' refurb is much better than the prior 'kerbed' look that was refurbed for free. So, I'd say, suck it up, or pay to have them redone, like you would have done if they'd not been done for free.

1a. Avoid kerbs.

2. If you were swayed to sign something by a cute salesperson (we've all been there) then, again, suck it up.

2a. Don't let your brain delegate decisions to other parts of your body in future wink

1. Are the wheels better than they were?
Do they look bad when compared to the other wheels?

2. 4 year gap insurance may not have been an option 18 months ago, but hss recently been added.

Re: the wheels:
They do look better as they did have a few encounters with the pavement.
But the grainy finish is on the arms of the "Y" spokes in 1 or two places.
It's not noticeable until you get close to them (like when washing)

Re: Gap Ins:
Fair point about it not being available at the time of purchase. I'll do a bit more research into it.

Re: Apostrophes.
No idea why i did that...twice.
