Cherished Number transfer ?

Ok so I have the following…..

Car 1 – Private Plate
Car 2 – Standard Plate

Cherished Number on retention.


I want to Move Car 1 plate to Car 2 and put the retention number onto car 1, can this be done at the same time and how ?

The only forms I can find are for transferring OR retain a plate on the DVLA site.

Anyone done this in one move ?

Yes it can be done.
But to do so you really need to visit a DVLA local office.

Doing it though the post will lead to a good chance of it not working or being cocked up.

Being able to sit down and explain what you want to do works wonders.
