Bang for buck, 300-500 bhp, £15,000 budget

After upgrading the workhorse car, we got rid of the 370z a couple of months ago and regretted it since.

So I'm looking for a replacement weekend toy, it must be:

- Fun
- "different" (no point suggesting a M3, want something a bit special/different)
- 300+ bhp
- no older than year 2000, 2005 or newer ideally
- I'm 6'7 so can't be anything like a slk or s2000

So far I'm thinking either a

SL55 AMG (2 seat convertible with 500bhp) (my favourite at the moment)

Another 370z (coupe with 330bhp)

Monaro VXR (4seat coupe with 420bhp)

Audi RS4 convertible (4 seat convertible with 420bhp)

BMW M6 (4 seat coupe, 500bhp)

Thoughts or suggestions welcome

Lots of biased opinions,

unfortunately I don't like "old/low spec" porkers, would have to be a GT3 RS or nothing for me I'm afraid.

And another requirent to add to my list is no older than year 2000 (ideally newer than 2005) so the 90's jap stuff is out

The RS6 convertible for your budget is not exactly nice to drive despite the power ... It feels big and heavy.

SLK55 is a surprisingly good car - small, nice driving position and the power is just right for tail sliding action.

£15,000 will get you a nice Evo though or even mk4 Supra manual with spare change if you don't mind Jap cars.

For £15k?? Cheapest on AT is £17.5K

An S4 would be well in budget, and 344 BHP.

I do LOVE the Z4m and looked to get one instead of the 370 before, however it was just a little too small for my tall (and wide ) frame.

And sorry but just not into 90's jap stuff
