My bmw 328 i key fob stopped working

Hi My key fob stopped working for my bmw 328i it is on a P plate. I cant deactivate it. I can start the car but the alarm wont stop can any one help. Not worried about having the alarm. Just need it so i can drive it. Any advice?

Does the fob have a battery or is it just a chip?

If its chipped but starts the car with the alarm going off I'd say the fault isn't with the fob.

I guess you could find the siren wiring and disconnect it.

Your fob has lost sync with car.

Whip the glovebox out and unplug the alarm box, it'll stop going off then. Further details can be found with a google.

Re-syncing is fiddley but doable.
