Complaint with car manufacturer

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me where Togo with this?

Basically my dad brought my mum a car for their ruby anniversary and this car firm promote a 10 year anti corrosion on their vehicles but after 4years the paint work is bubbling along the roof edge they are saying its how it's been washed and nothing todo with how it was prepared before being painted.

Was wondering if There is somewhere else I can take this complaint too who could take this on for my parents like the FSA when you have money issues with companies.

HAVEN'T NAMED THE CAR FIRM AS NOT SURE IM ALOUD .

Who has said it's to do with the way it's been washed?

Have you had an independent bodyshop look at it?

This is only going to be valid if the car has had the 'optional' body inspections at the specified service intervals. With receipts / stamps in the service book to prove.

Often these aren't cheap and people don't bother and if they do the manufacturer will have made their money back before any claims are made.

Trust that the car has never been washed with a jet-wash?

Biggest area of mistake that so many people make.

The manufacturers all give you clear instructions in the hand-book on body/paint care.

It's your choice/responsibility if you ignore these.

The SMMT is the "governing body" as such so maybe talk with them.
