Best way to find a good Driving instructor

[fatboy18]

Well my Sons just got his provisional licence through and now is looking for Car Driving tuition!

Im out of touch with this so where should I start looking?

Recommendations through friends is probably the best bet, are any of his friends learning/ passed recently?
