hi, i had a problem this week with my tdci 130 mondeo, stuttering and down on power, turned out to be a split intercooler to egr valve hose....i replaced it today with a new one i got off ebay and it feels like new again.

but while on ebay i bought a blanking plate which today i have fitted and tested it while on and tested while off, and to me felt just the same on and off.

if anything id say it ticked over lower and slightly rough while stopped at traffic lights etc while it was fitted. But power/turbo wise i could tell no difference.

having searched the subject on here it seems its better for your engine with smoother and better turbo/power delivery if its blanked...But is there anyone on here like me that when blanked felt no difference ? my blanking plate is now off i dunno if to put it back on or just leave it.
