Ok sounds dumb, but they have similiar horsepower with different physics, do you think the BRZ is the kind of successor ?

I think you might be on to something! I was just telling my friend how the Citroen C1 is the true successor to the Triumph Spitfire, and these are a very similar match!

What would be more fun, an ITR (I loved mine) or the GT86? I think it would be close. The ITR is a great car. I'm tempted to get another.

It's a good question but the BRZ doesn't have the special engine of the ITR. OTOH, it's a better effort than anything Honda's offering at the moment.

If Honda released the Dc-2 today, as it came out then it would be viewed as a lot more hard core than the new Gt86/BRZ which is quite refined, heavy, not anywhere near as focused as the Dc-2 was/is.

Cheers. Funny to see the FWD Clio and ITR beat the GT86.

Question- would the Brz/gt86 be a better car with a Honda 4 pot eg K20/F20a? I think it would.............

Undeniably. Honda's Type R engines are in a class above Toyota's, even their 190bhp VVTi thing they used in the Celica GTs, Corolla T Sports etc are not as good as the Hondas, though they weren't bad engines.
