V5C/2 and Private plate

Afternoon all, looking for some help

I bought a car and have been given the V5C/2 (little green slip)

Now I want to put my private plate on the car so do I need to send this slip off, get the V5 document and then apply for the private plate to be put on.... or can I do it in one fell swoop?

The previous owner or dealer will have sent the main part away, the little green slip is for you to keep. So you will have to wait a week or two for the full V5C to arrive, to then start the transfer.

Nope, you can fill out a V62 and do it immediately.

Do this. No need to pay the £25 for V5 either (when you see that bit).

Complete a V62, and submit to your local DVLA office the V5C/2, V62, MOT (if applicable), V750/778.

can you still do this and send it off to DVLA since you can't do it the offices no more?
