So my thoughts have drifted off to an M135, given that there is a £5K contribution from the Manufacturer.

Thought I had better check insurance.

Drop the excess to the standard amount and add legal cover and it would look like a very normal quote

wink

Got legal cover elsewhere, and I can luckily afford the excess. Will give it a go, and post the results though, just making dinner, manservant is off tonight! wink

Good prices, but should you be unlucky enough to have to pay the excess you'd soon be feeling like you'd been stung (whether you can afford it or not). Considering the excess (and not factoring what your chances are of having to pay it), that looks like insurance for potentially an approximate cost of £1000 PA. If you are lucky enough to get it at the base price on the screen and not pay any more you'd be doing well!

Just got a quote on the same car out of curiosity:

£218.36 with £600 excess, including legal cover

.....and I'm 36

Pity I can't afford a £30k car hehe

Huh? Not with you my friend.

Been doing if for years now. My choices, my decisions, my risk.

Get a grip.

If you have a £1000 claim, a £750 xs is a pain. If you write the car off, it doesn't matter that much.

It depends on individual circumstances. Although I usually find I high xs doesn't yield a big enough reduction to make it worthwhile.

I have a £200 xs on my policy, upping it to £600 would have saved me £12.50! No thanks.

But that's just me, it make be different for the OP.

What with the cheek? Learn some fking manners. It is your choice, I simply echo what is said about the massive excess you've loaded on top to make the up front price cheap. Anyone over the age of 25 can play that game!

Ahh, let's not forget, the insurance might be nice.....

But it'll be dropping @£100 every single week in depreciation alone, and that's after the 3k the second your name is on the v5.

Sorry to be a killjoy. Fantastic car.
Absolutely, but that is not what the thread is about my friend.

What massive excess would that be, the £750 one, or the £250 one.

Look in before you look out you fookin clown.

Anyway, apologies to any normal person I have offended! beer
