Apart from being an idiot and not paying attention when reversing (despite the parking sensors) I managed to hit a lamppost and bruise my 635d. The thud seemed far worse than the damage; only a minor scratch and a bruise, or so I thought, however see below. Obviously want to get it repaired and wondered what your thoughts were on the likes of Chips Away? Or are there any other places in London/Essex which you can recommend? Also, what's the average cost of repair? I would rather hand the job over to someone trusted who as whilst many companies say they're the best it ultimately comes down to the individual repair man.

Jokes about my ability to a minimum please :-)

Have this posted in the BMW General forum too but keen to get thoughts from the wider PH community.

There is good fella who works out of Epsom, smart auto fx, but I'm not sure how far he will travel.

Thanks, I'll give him a shout - if he doesn't maybe he'll know someone.

Best I or anyone I know have ever used were A&E based in Chalfont St Giles. They had bentleys and ferraris there, yet were extremely cheap. Did excellent work.

Alternatively, see the sticky in the M Power section....
