Thanks guys.
Surprised to find adaptive cruise on some £7k Corsas! It must mean something else on those...
Not surprised to only find it on big engined cars. Shame!
Would of been nice to find it on a 320d or an A4.
Never mind!
A few Audi A4's have it. Look for the glass bubble at the bottom of the front bumper.Surprised to find adaptive cruise on some £7k Corsas! It must mean something else on those...

Just out of interest OP, have you ever used radar cruise before? It's a very weird feeling as you're careening towards the car in front and waiting for the car to decide to slow down. Don't forget some systems cut out below a certain speed, can see that causing a few accidents with inattentive drivers at the wheel.

I've never used it, but just watched a Top Gear with Clarkson using it on an S Class. Since I'm in the market for a replacement for my A3 I thought I'd get it. But my budget is around £15K and for that amount all the cars with it are high miles

If you're hooning down the motorway at 80mph and there's a stationary tailback in front, will the car emergency stop you in time?
Only if it works down to 0mph I'd assume. To be honest, I'd be doing the braking if I saw a tailback ahead. Good judgement the better part of valour and all that...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
