A friend of mine has just pre-ordered a new Gallardo Spider after his 50th Anniversary tour in Italy.

Nice eh?

That's just a current gallardo with an Aventador/Sesto Elemento flavour body kit.

Be very disappointed if it does look like that.

I'm afraid that is just a virtual concept ... done by me in fact, by the way, the Spyder version of that mockup looks like this one :

even did a SuperLeggera version

As these are just my 'playing around' in PhotoShop I don't think the actual will look like this ... would be cool if it would, that would mean I had a good idea, but for now I would just call it 'wishful thinking'

They should give you a job, I think it looks brilliant.

I hope they do actually start making something that looks that good.

Might be a daft question, but humour me - did you actually draw that in PS? As in not modified a photo, but actually drew?

I'm seriously impressed!!

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I was sent the pic by a mate who was at the time driving his new Aventador on the Lamborghini 50th birthday tour in Italy! He has, apparently put a deposit down on one!

Custard I'm afraid.

The new Gallardo is a long way off (there are no confirmed details AFAIK let alone a solid release date) and the spyder will be a year behind that at least.

The replacement Gallardo has been talked about for ages, I'm sure I've read that they're planning a 2014 launch for the car - you would be very foolish to think Lamborghini wouldn't be taking deposits for it already - I'd actually go as far to say that if you asked a dealer in the UK now if you could order one, I'm sure there would be at least 10-20 people already ahead of you.
