What does it mean if a car is SORNED? Yes i have google searched it and can't find any clear responses. Can the car not be MOT'd and taxed?

All it means is that the car has been 'Statutory Off Road Notification', meaning it is being kept off the road, so does not require vehicle duty, insurance, etc. you can MOT and tax the car, just make sure you have insurance running it to the MOT centre.

It really isn't as complicated as it sounds. The DVLA is far better than the DMV, (gnashes teeth).

Certainly they seem to be able to feed themselves, plus they have loads of guns and a road network that mostly makes sense, and cheap fuel (if they take an international perspective and stop bhing about it).

Plus they all have amazing teeth.

Most of them are capped and crowned and whitened though, underneath they're just weak filed down stumps. Nothing wrong with good old yellow British teeth, my enamel is so strong I can chew down a tree although I do have a smile like the Queen Mother.
