I hate red cars.
Discussion
I think it stems from the days when I was heavily into Alfa Giulia coupes.
They came in some pretty fantastic 60's/70's hues however I was brainwashed by my peers that a Bertone coupe simply must be Alfa Rosso. So had my 2000GTV painted accordingly. I now detest red. On E Types, Astons, Impact Bumper 911's and Lambo's and Ferrari's. On TR's, MG's and Triumph's
The only problem is I have a small collection of red microcars. In this scene (actually like all classic cars) you buy on condition. With the really rare stuff you take what you're given. So out of my four micros three are red!
I'm a firm believer in originality so will not alter their colour.
Oddly enough I like a red 993 or 997. I think maybe because they're mega rare in guards as silver etc was much more fashionable.
Hmm.

Flame Pink has never been my favorite Vauxhall Colour and the few red cars I've had have always suffered colour bleaching.......
BL used to do a burgundy (Dmask Red I think it was) that bleached white (damn near it) after too much exposure to the sun - I had an MG midget that needed T-cut after every wash

I love red cars. A Rosso Corsa 355 or a Guards Red 964 Carrera...get in! However, in the main I tend to avoid red. It looks stunning when it's cared for, but without careful maintenance it can end up looking dire. I love my 80's and 90's performance cars - many of those available in red are a curious shade of pink now.

So just to be clear, you hate red cars, but you own some red cars, and you would like some cars in red.....They came in some pretty fantastic 60's/70's hues however I was brainwashed by my peers that a Bertone coupe simply must be Alfa Rosso. I too hate some things that are red and like other things that are red.

Cunningly left out the "oddly enough". Devil's in the detail. >empathises without judging<

Apply "most but not all" going forwards.
I also mostly don't like red cars. Yet half of my RX7s were red, and I loved the red one. Also if I ever have enough money my Alfa SZ will be red, as will the 288 GTO. But I recently didn't buy a 944 because it was red.
