We started the car show in the driving rain and..........
Discussion
..I thought we would be like Hurricane Katrina survivors.. the rain was thunderstorm-heavy, so getting out of the car meant being instantly drenched. We has the most central street in Toronto blocked off, and I expected dozens of cancellations. However, Canadians are hearty folk, and the vast majority made it. As we started to line the cars up, I also thought that there would be no spectators. ( The show is free, but proceeds from the sponsors go to help out Prostate Cancer Canada.)
At 9:30am , the the heaviest rain over, it still looked like this:

But it cleared, and suddenly squeegees, cloths, sprays, chamois and all the other stuff suddenly appeared as people dried their cars, and by noon it looked like this:

We had some interesting cars in the turnout...here are a few:

The Tesla got a lot of attention:

Some finishes were an acquired taste:
Ford GT

Bentley:

BMW

Lots of Porsches of course:

In any case,,,,what could have been a disaster turned out very well indeed
For the kids....this was the star of the show:

Not a bad line up!!! I always think cars like that (bright colours and sporty lines) always look good with a skyscraper backdrop.
Wel,,since its charity event for the general public we try not to be purists, but to provide a bit of variety......
