For Christmas i was given a super car experience. 360, Gallardo and DB9.

Ive just got around to booking it, and the long and the short of it is, ive swapped those 3 cars for a Porsche 911 (no idea which model, i didnt ask), a Nissan GTR and an Audi R8.

At the time it seemed like these were the car i want to drive more. Now im off the phone, i feel as though they arent going to have the same raw excitement as the original 3.

What would you have done?

Im not particularly concerned. Im sure it will be a great day in 3 car i would love to own. But did i make a stupid choice?

360, Lambo and DB9 for me without a doubt. I'm sure the 911 is fun but the GTR and R8 would probably leave me cold. I admire their technical abilities but they just are a bit less special in my opinion..

I drove a 360 and was seriously underwhelmed, the DB9 is a GT, so probably not to be enjoyed at it's best on track in standard form. The 911 will be a hoot to drive, the GTR has amazing acceleration and the R8 will be fun too - I would prefer the Gallardo to the R8, but worse ways to spend a day wink

The last time I went for one of these I actually went for the MX5 option as that was the only one that wasn't (soft) rev/speed limited.

You could drive it as hard as you liked round the track overtaking many of the 'supercars' in the process.

What do you drive normally?

I've never driven an R8, but I can't imagine it being boring & maybe even easier to drive a bit quicker than a 360. A 911 is a car I think every driving fan should have a go in, and the GTR seems so very different than most other cars, again I think I'd love a go in one.

I've driven a DBS, 360 and Gallardo.

Only the Gallardo left me underwhelmed.

I have a feeling the R8 and GT-R would be cold, although the GT-R especially would be extremely quick and competent.

The 360 will feel slow but it's like a go-kart and you can feel that cliché Ferrari magic when you're driving it. Sounds incredible too.

I'd have kept the original three.

You swapped a Ferrari, Lambo, and Aston for a Porsche, Nissan and Audi.

Do you even need to ask?

I did the same albeit the Caterham and the instructor allowed me to use the full rev range and push it a great deal more than I have done on a few super car experiences. He didnt seem to impressed at first though as he had to get suited up, it was not a particularly warm day!

I've just driven the exact 3 cars that you've changed to, with the same company!

I drove at Dunsfold. The Porsche was a lovely car to drive, nice gearchange and brakes and not so fast that you didn't have time to think!

The R8 was also very easy to drive, very smooth and felt very stable. The GTR is the craziest car that I've ever driven!

You'll love them.

I done an experience with that company a few months ago, really enjoyed it. Drove a gallardo and a Ferrari 458, amazing car that last one!

Put a few pictures up in this topic :

Also if you're going to Dunsfold i can recommend to stay in the nearby B&B (10 minutes away) the Richard Onslow in Cranleigh. That one was recommended to me by someone on here and we thoroughly enjoyed it, both the evening meal in there, the room, and the breakfast, few pics of that as in well in that topic.

Oh godness, please don't do Staffordshire (Seighford). This place is an utter shambles and you will be left disappointed. Its basically an old runway marked out with cones. The track surface is more like the surface you would find on the moon!

If this company is anything like the "other" company that use the seighford venue (they would DRIVEME crazy), then be prepared to be very disappointed.

I can't speak for other venue's, but I feel sorry for anyone going to Seighford. I don't really think these "experience days" are much of an experience at all though, more a disappointment.

360, 911, R8.. prefer the R8 to the Gallardo, 911 needs to be experienced and the 360 will give your spine a little tingle.

I'd say you should have stuck, but the reality is you'll drive three very fast cars in an unlimited environment and have an awesome time. The porsche will be the 997 turbo. It's very fast. R8 shares bits with the Lamborghini and who doesn't want to say theyve driven an Aston?
