.....For £200

I was going to "stick" with Rainsport 2s...was going to get the Rainsports tomorrow after work.

Any Thoughts on the Avon ZV5's please?

Quite a lot of feedback here, they sound quite reasonable.

Got them on my 172. Wear not too bad, price good, I find them perfectly good for normal/spirited road driving in all conditions. I would definitely buy them again. They are a million times better than the contisports that come off which wore funny and were just crap and not far off the Michelin Exaltos I had either.

I do use different wheels/tyres on track so no idea how they would take that kind of abuse.

Should be on par with the Uniroyals.

Will actually be interesting to hear your feedback, so be sure to update the thread or submit a review to that nice link provided a few posts up wink

Go for it!

I got them fitted to my Passat for motorway duties and they seem to be quiet and a good all round tyre. I'd definitely buy them again.

You don't mention the tyre size?

£200 could be too expensive for 165/70 x13 tyres

Avons are good tyre's and that's a great price! And I hate cheap nasty tyres...

I've got 4 of those on the Integrale. Don't think they cost much more than £200 when new.

I don't rag it, rag it, but it's been on a few on boost assaults and seems to have survived with that rubber smile

Blimey that's good for 4... the Bravo sport I pick up next week has the same size and I was wondering how much fresh rubber was gonna cost me....I shall investigate when the time comes

I fitted 4 on my car, absolutely fantastic in the wet and very good on snow, have a tendency to make a racket when they get too hot though.. all in all 9/10

Had these fitted this afternoon, nothing much to say other than they seem quieter at speed than the RainSport2s were.

A Little update now these are fully bedded-in and have been used in varied conditions.

Really pleased with them so far, the grip available even in greasy wet conditions like this morning is very good (partly down to the superb Torsen Quattro system).

The Avons are nice and quiet at speed, no tram-lining or anything untoward, I'd buy them for MissB's S60 next..and again for mine too next time around.

smile

Interesting to see how they perform on the snow compared to Rainsport2s (they were very good last winter)
