old police car at gordano fuel station M5 South, why?

As title.. its been on the fuel station forecourt for ages an 03 Vectra in full police decals...Why??!! Is it to scare me into not doing a drive off??!!

Defo theft deterrent,in mid 2000s used to see a mk1 Vectra left at varous stations on thr a303.

As you drive into Stansted services the petrol station on your left usually has a marked police car very visible on its forecourt. Possibly something like a Ford Focus estate, though I haven't been there for a few weeks.
