PistonHeads partners with Tyre Shopper

And to celebrate you can win a set of Bridgestone tyres

This week PistonHeads has launched a new partnership with Tyre Shopper, the UK’s largest online tyre retailer. It will offer PHers an unrivalled range of tyres at unbeatable prices thanks to its regular analysis of UK competitors' pricing. In addition they have over 1,000 tyre technicians available across the UK so fitting and supply isn't an issue.

Take a look at the site here and have a browse for yourself. Links to the shop can also be found under the Resources bar on the PH home page.

To celebrate the launch we're offering a PHer the chance to win a set of four Bridgestone tyres (up to the value of £300, so Dodge Viper drivers need not apply!). Enter by simply filling in the competition entry form below.

The winner will be announced on this thread after the closing date, but in the meantime we also welcome your thoughts on our new shop.

Was dreading I didn't check these as I've just bought some new tyres, but clickontyres.co.uk had my tyres in £40 cheaper anyway...

You read their price promise, did you?

Price Promise
Why take the chance dealing with a web site you can’t be sure of?

We are so confident that our prices are the most competitive,
that we’re happy to make this promise:
“If you see the identical tyre advertised for sale locally at a lower price elsewhere,
we promise to beat that competitor’s price by £1.”

(Terms and conditions apply)
(No affiliation BTW).

Yes, £10/tyre more. At least for the 205/55/16 I checked.

Also the £57/tyre 'savings' claim is disingenuous.

Looks mighty expensive compared with tyretraders. Pirelli P Zero 275/35/20 105Z £254 fitted on tyretraders,£340 (reduced from 384!!)on Tyre shopper. Think they might want to look at their competitors prices a bit closer.

I didn't think Camskill and Lovetyres quoted for a fitted price?

I think it's just poorly worded T's & C's. In fact the opposite is true - they demand that they can verify the prices online.

Price Promise also said:
The competitor’s website must have stock available locally (within 10 miles) for immediate purchase.
Maybe a representative of PH's shiny new partner can comment. smile

Camskill were £20/tyre cheaper. Fitting can be found locally for £10/tyre. Hence the £10/tyre cheaper I claimed.

Hmm, they were £12 per tyre more than blackcircles but that includes fitting. However I don't want them fitted as I like the convenience of my local place.

I can't see any way of ordering tyres only. Am I being blind?

A full set for £300! That would just about cover one front and nowhere near a rear.......

Search for your car by reg gives me the wrong tyre size. scratchchin
And for £300, I can only get two tyres and they don't even list Bridgestones, just Dunlops and Conti.

Smells like a tracker-esque promo.

Why would they need a price promise when they have an "unrivalled range of tyres at unbeatable prices thanks to its regular analysis of UK competitors' pricing"?

I do actually find tyre-shopper to be among the cheapest.

I bought my last set from Camskill. The service was great but I was disappointed at how much I had to pay to have them fitted when I called around (IIRC about £15ea), would have been cheaper to get it all inc.

I bought a set of Bridgestones about 3 weeks ago through Halfords Autocentres for £35 cheaper than these guys. 205/55 R16 W91 T001 which are listed as a deal of the day.... seems expensive for a very common size (5 of my last 6 cars have been the same size and rating)

It does for mine too, lists the 14" option wheels as the default rather than the 13" poverty spec ones which don't appear. For those that don't know, it's National Tyres behind this.

They are the cheapest for a half decent budget tyre in my size though!
