i've been given an activity day as a present and i've no idea what to choose. there's a choice of aston martin db9 or v8 vantage, ferrari 355 or 360, audi r8 (v8) and lambo gallardo.

i must add that i've never driven on a track before, only driven fwd cars in the past and have no experience of steering wheels with paddles on them!

so...as a novice i'm asking what should i choose?

Doesn't really matter, you won't be allowed to take it out of 2nd or go over 3000 revs anyway.

Did one of these today at Everyman driving experience can't be further from the truth, not once did either instructor hold me back...... 140 main straight what a result smile, I did Ferrari god was it rubbish against my expectations loads of roll and very twitchy and gallado which was very capable but steering felt numb and felt very heavy. My choice was Ferrari again as good fun despite the issues and anything other than the Lamborghini!!!!

My mate did one, said he preferred a Cayman over the Lambo.

Just wondering where is your experience?

I chose the Gallardo (flappy paddle model) and it was great. You don't get a huge amount of track time usually, but I caned it and there was no 2nd gear 3000rpm limit!

You may find the car is dual control and an instructor is in there with you. I found this really useful actually.

Enjoy!

they're all over the country but i'm in hampshire. i'd prefer to do it somewhere famous like silverstone or brands hatch just to say, "I've driven on that track". i don't think all the cars are available at all the tracks though.

thanks for the link.

edit: not sure which company it is yet but i can only choose one car. frown
i can't complain, it is a present after all. the person who bought it is organising it and is asking me which car i want.

Lambo will be 4WD, so easier to drive.
Ferarri is, well, a Ferarri!

I'd find it hard to choose between the Lambo and the 355 TBH.
