Aston Martin V8 Vantage Coupe or Convertible

I'm cashing in my pension and going to blow it all on a toy.
looks like a 2006/7 car is all I can afford have set the budget at £35k well the budget has set itself.
I have been trying to find a light coloured leather trim but think I'd have more luck with Hen's teeth.
The Convertible seem to be a lot more money I need to know why and also if there are any pitfalls.
Got to be manual on either.

You may wish to ask the mods to move to the AM forum - lots of helpful folks there

Generally very reliable cars, the roof module is the only "theme" I've noticed reported in the roadster. If you want a soft top, buy in Dec / Jan - far better value then
