Who scraped and damaged my OH's brand new car yesterday (4 days old) and drove off without leaving their name/address.
Thank you for your honesty, and I hope if the same thing happens to you that the person responsible behaves in exactly the same way you have.
I can't be bothered to rant - I'm beyond angry.

Sorry to hear about the car OP.
As a counterpoint to prove there are nice people out there:
I cycled to work a couple of weeks ago leaving my car parked on street. My wife rang me at work to say that a woman had knocked on the door to say she'd hit my car and to leave her contact details.
When I got home the damage was minor (paint scuffs - will buff out) so I rang her up, told her there would be no claim, and thanked her for her honesty. She seemed quite relieved.
