Just purchased a car but I don't like the alloy wheels; are regular wheel trims compatible to fit over the alloys? The spokes of the wheels don't protrude greatly if that helps.

yes cable tie some on, spinners are good for this as the front part hides the cable tie

If they're the right diameter you could cable tie some trims to the spokes of your alloys.

However...
(a) It will look st.
(b) Unless you centre them perfectly and fix them very firmly, you will have issues with vibration.

Vauxhall used to (still might) make alloy-style wheel trims that, when fitted over the matching Vauxhall steel wheel design, completely hid the steel part and looked quite convincingly like a genuine alloy wheel. Wonder if you're confusing these with trims for alloy wheels (which don't exist)?

fks sake, give the OP a break. Wheel trims are for steel wheels. That's all you need to say... bunch of small pricked s...
This place is really getting feral, like the rest of the UK.

As above, no.

What wheel/car combo do you have?

Bound to be someone out there who likes/wants yours so that should minimise the cost the change.

FFS. Really?

If the OP had any self preservation of mind or indeed to use google then this thread wouldn't exist. But the same can be said for many threads on here and indeed many that i've probably started but this is quite clearly a wind up.

As you were...

They are still on the Astravan Sportives although they don't actually make them now (replaced by crappy Combo). I have them on my Astravan and in actual fact I did think that they were alloys until I came to wash it for the first time. hehe

Aye yes , swap your alloys for some steelies (get steelies from scrapyard, get your tyres swapped over for cash at a local tyre place or get new tyres fitted etc) and fit wheeltrims to them? smile

Ignore the adverse comments on here as well, it's just been a new moon (or about to be a full moon - regardless, it kicks off twice a month on here for several days at a time...) hehe .
