Hi,

So today I drove a Mclaren MP4-12C on a trackday. Seriously, seriously rapid car.

My only problem is, I have wide feet (2e on some shoes or 4e, which is extra wide, or extra extra wide).

In a car as tight as the mp4 (I am also just over 6ft and it's not easy to get into), there was very little leg room (or foot room).

Is there anyone here with similar problems with wide feet and what do you do? Is it even possible to adapt a (super)car to be easier to drive?

Any insight appreciated.

What shoes? Might be time for a pair of driving shoes (or boxing shoes!).

P.S. worst 'I've driven a McLaren' thread ever.

Doubt they'd fit? I wore trainers. I managed to pass my test in a manual car but with tight(er) trainers so perhaps I can find the right shoes. Just very worrying, don't want to single myself out of a lot of cars, supercars or not.

As for the PS, I guess the main purpose is for drivers with wide feet, not about the car (but the car was just for a bit of context). smile

Alpinestars F1-T ankle boots, I have UK 14/15 size feet and these work wonders for pedal gaps.

You driven an S3 caterham? About as snug as a road car gets, you can't drive it with normal shoes. biggrin
Driving shoes, or converse required.

Like you I have wide feet and in ordinary shoes and trainers I can get two pedals at once. I've bought a pair of driving shoes that ensure I only press one pedal but tend to squash my feet as they are narrow.
