Saw a good one just now in Sawbridgeworth, bus pulls into double length layby but leave arse end sticking out into the road. No need whatsoever, I rode by and the next half of the layby was empty. No excuses. Why they doing this?

To stop short of the old biddy in crutches so she has to walk back to the bus.

At a guess, to block the road - so that traffic cant get past and the driver doesnt have to try and re-merge.

Or

When he pulled in the lay-by was full, but the other traffic had since left......
Was totally empty. I was past 2 seconds after it stopped.

This is why the traffic is so slow in greater London buses no longer make any attempt to pull in and the flow if traffic is now in part regulated by idiot bus drivers. I often use these buses and see it first hand they have not got any regard for getting out the way of the traffic when they stop.

I have noticed more women bus drivers these days and I expect it was a woman.

Car drivers are fantasticly good at blocking these days by sticking in the middle of their side of the road whether turning left or right and thus stopping any one else turning either!

It would seem that with the rise of soaps that glory in arguements (Eastenders) drivers find any way they can to annoy other drivers.

Too right! It's as if they were never taught the notions of lane positioning! Although to be fair, it's motorists who purposefully overshoot side junctions so the traffic has to slow to let them out. Some of them don't even bother to provide some sort of "thank you" for halting your progress, as if they had the right of way! mad
