Bought a used OEM towbar kit from a breaker. Happy days.

Had a call from breaker to say that he'd cocked up and sent someone else's injectors to me, and my towbar to someone else. Agreed that I would retrieve injectors from Post Office and forward on to original customer, and he would reimburse me postage. Other customer would do the same. Basically I'm a nice guy.

Still awaiting refund for postage, still awaiting towbar a week later.

Ebay guy has not answered his phone the one time that I rang. Nor has he responded to messages through ebay.

Any suggestions? I would much prefer the towbar than a refund.

Just get the refund. Once he gets the bar back in stock you can always re-buy it.

Managed to get the guy after some digging.

The Halifax resident has decided to be a dick and keep the towbar and injectors.

Apparently the breaker has pulled another towbar off a car. Hopefully it's still what I've paid for.

See what happens. Feel sorry for the breaker as he's losing out all over on this.

What a knob that other guy is. I know he's been sent something for free and it isn't his responsibility to sort it out, but when you've been kind enough to forward his stuff along to him the least he could do is return the favour.

I assume you have the address of the person you sent the injectors to....and I assume there's lots of helpful people on here who live in Halifax who could nip round and pick it up for you.....job done and Pistonheads helps again.

Still no towbar.

Opened a case now to protect my position. Getting grumpy.

I had some sympathy for the breaker, but I am know out of pocket for a towbar, and his bloody postage that has not been refunded as promised.

Proper pissed off. Still no Towbar. Parcelforce have lost the 2nd one. He has not got anymore to send, but is reluctant to refund.

I am giving him 48 hours to find one, or refund before I ask Paypal to deal with it.

unfortunately its very hard to be a "nice guy" on Ebay. As soon as something goes wrong, your refund/ payment is late.. etc etc you need to notify ebay and let them and paypal get your money/ goods back asap and put a strike against the other persons name... we have an ebay business as a sideline and thats just the way it is.
