Ferrari 360 + single garage
Discussion
My Challenge Stradale lives in a covered, private space but I would rather it lived in a garage. Problem is that these things are like gold dust in my area, but I think I may have come across one for sale.
The issue is that it's a single garage.
My rough measurements say that there will be VERY little room to spare if I were to fit the CS in there.
Are there any tips or experience here that I could tap into?
Apologies if this has been dealt with before, but PH search is taking ages/being dodgy.
Pictures and measurements would be great!
I need to make a decision fairly soon...

Put cardboard on the wall next to your door opening to avoid scratching it.The issue is that it's a single garage.

Put a length of wood along the floor to act as a guide so that when driving in you can get the car as close to the wall as possible without scratching it.
Tie a tennis ball to the roof with a piece of string. Get it set so that you're a few mm away from the wall with it touching the windscreen.
Sounds obvious, but check where the pillars are in the garage, if it has any. Mine are just where the doors open on my 350, but were fine on an A4 and Impreza. Annoying to say the least that I can't actually open the door if I drive it in. Good luck. Fantastic car, deserving of some TLC.
Pretty obvious things, but:
1) I bought a cheap grey rubber camping mat, cut a piece to size and screwed that to the wall with some large penny washers holding it on. It looks very neat and will allow you to push the door against it whilst you get out. I used the same material for bits and bobs on my last racing car (headrest, cushioning under the seat etc), and also to protect my bikes from the garage wall they hang off.
2) If you reverse in you can track down one wall very accurately, thus allowing you more space on the driver's side to get out. Hold your breath if you're reversing in though!
3) Check the door opening against the mirror to mirror width.
4) Power to the garage will help enormously as it'll allow you to use a trickle charger.

Is is a level approach to the garage?
The reason I ask is that at my previous property the driveway was straight and level with a single garage at the end. I would park up outside the garage, then push the car in until it rested nicely against a strip of wood fixed to the floor (as mentioned above).
The menthod meant I didn't have to open the door/s in the garage, plus no nervous going in under power. The car could be pushed out again also.

I recently tried a 360 in my single garage. Good news - it fits. Bad news - only if it is a convertible.
You can't open the doors wide enough to get out in mine, but with a cabrio you can hop over the door and there is enough room to open the door to put the roof up.
I'll post measurements and a picture later, which should help you. If its of similar size to mine, it probably won't be any good.
Paul.
EDIT: My measurements are:
500cm x 240cm

Can't you just drive to a point where the door will open, get out, then push the car the rest of the way? I've made some enquiries and I think I've managed to answer my own question. I've found something in developement that looks almost exactly like the concept mechanism I had in my mind.
It allows you to roll the car in but without then having to leave it in neutral or having to do contortions to get out.
Attaching Youtube link that I hope will provide an option to anyone looking for this sort of solution.
