Press-on Grandma
Discussion
Just been bothered by an elderly lady in a 2007 Ford C-Max, whilst driving my wife's FIAT. First the old dear pulled out of the tip behind me and started tailgating me to go faster than permissible in a 40 zone. Then we came to a roundabout and I took the right lane for a right turn onto a dual carriageway. She promptly pulled alongside me in the left lane but also decided to turn right, but then got stuck behind an HGV, so I made it first to the dual carriageway. Once past the HGV she came bombing past me at 80+mph and off into the distance, sending all the rep-mobiles scattering in her wake.
It's refreshing to note that at least one of the older generation understands that there is life beyond 40 (mph!);)

Reminds me of a similar incident a few months ago for me; I pulled off my drive to take my sister to college and was caught up within 10 seconds by an elderly lady in a new top of the range Suzuki Splash. She was hassling me all the way off my estate and for a few miles after, I was letting my car warm up as normal
but after a while I decided to make some space and upped the pace along the B road we were on....
She just sped up and sat riding behind me nearly sat on the centre line! In the end I was properly throwing the car through the corners as granny seemed to be nailing the 1.5? hard enough to easily pace my 1.2 fabia when entering any short straights; actually had to drive it fairly hard to make her drop away much to sis' amusement, but was actually enjoyable tbh.

MY other halves mother seems to drive like she stole it, in fact what she does is ignores speed limits and instead sticks to the back of another car to guide her. Being in a car with her driving is terrifying because she also struggles with left and right and doesn't know how to use her mirrors.
I once had an incident with an old bat just off the Hammersmith flyover. I was turning right towards Earls court she came up behind in a beaten up old Accord. Into the 30 zone and she starts beeping and getting stroppy...finally cuts across two lanes and heads off towards central London, not before flicking the bird at me though!
I nearly hit the car in front pissing myself at being abused by a granny

I had a similar experience with an old dear in a Kia Cee'd. Except in this case she was riding my tail in a 30 (also through a 20 advisory past a primary school). It was ridiculous to the point that I couldn't see the much of her car below her front windscreen. I tapped the brake pedal in order to flick the lights on but she didn't back off (I saw my third brake light illuminate in her windscreen).
Eventually she overtook me (same 30 I might add) and disappeared. I was straddling 30 the entire way I should add.
I've started to realise that pensioners tend to be the most aggressive drivers.
