Hi there dudes, dumb question really, but what are the differences between the 306 xs 1.6 1994 and the 1995? Its just that im getting one or the other as my first car very soon, the 1995 costs £10 more insurance per month but was wondering what it featured differently if anything.. their both phase 1, just wondered if one had central locking, remote locking, electric windows etc etc and the other didn't,

You'd probably be better off asking on a Peugeot forum. I think around that time they had some very minor changes. I had a 1995 XLDT, it had an airbag, whereas earlier models didn't.

1995 MY also has a slightly different grille - a larger Peugeot badge in the centre.

I had a 94 registered, 95 MY SLDT sedan.

I'm sure there are other extremely minor differences, but they really would be nothing to notice.

The good news is that even at nearly 20 years old, these cars should be virtually rust free, but there's plenty more to go wrong so for goodness' sake, buy on condition first, second and last.

Thanks CYMRO! gonna get a completely stock standard one, clean as hell with reasonably low mileage, then slam the fker somewhat and put some bbs rs 15's on it, nothing more. Although the XS 3 doors always seem to be hard to find :/

Each to their own and all that, but why bother with a clean one if you're going to slam the fker?

Every man to his own liking no? its not like I said slap an ugly kit on it and some huge alloys after cutting the springs down, I simply want it lowered professionally with pretty much standard sized alloys, why have a car that looks like every other on the road, especially a 20 year old 306 which im still forced to have ridiculously high premiums on thanks to the 'idiots' of my generation that rag there cars to pieces
