Is it just me, or do Audi make way too many cars now! Just been on their website and there seems to be an infinite choice of cars! For instance the a3 can be bought as a 3dr, 5dr, convertible and soon a pointless saloon. Then the a7 which basically is an a6 with a square back. And now there's 3 pointless 4x4's which all look the same and nobody seems to buy them! Not that any of these cars are bad, I quite like all of them, but there just seems to be too many! This is a very important matter and it should be stopped tongue out rant over

The Q3/5/7 sells by the bucketload! They are everywhere. I can hardly tell them apart until I look to see whether the car I'm looking at is big, huge or enormous.

Different countries want different markets.

For example the most common Porsche in this country is probably the 911.

The most sold Porsche in the world is the Panamera.

So Audi may make a car which may not appeal to a lot of people in this country, however other countries may think its the best car yet. It all depends on peoples needs.

You probably have, but thought it was a Q5.

I like these pointless saloons, from the Vauxhall Belmont to the 90s Megane Classic to the Mazda 3 saloon. They are neither spacious nor practical but usually look better than the hatch.

Would love a Merc CLA.

Fairly sure the Cayenne sells the most in this country, by a fair margin.

Agreed, with Merc not too far adrift.

it may sell well as the old b5 A4 sold well which i guess is a similar size also the old 405/406 sold well as saloons but i do prefer a hatch anyway.

The Q3 looks plain boring and awkward in profile. Its little sister, the Tiguan is just as ugly. I've driven both and they are competent but utterly forgettable - sort of like a Germanic Japanese hatchback.

Thought this earlier, doing a wheel refurb of an A5 Saloon. I thought there was the A4 (saloon) and the A5 was there as a coupe and convertible (much like the new 3&4 series BMW's) What's the point of a saloon version of the coupe version of a saloon car?

I knew there was a five-door hatch version of the A5. Didn't realise there was a four-door saloon as well. smile
