Technical query if anyone can help? Purchased a w204 c class coupe last week - on the test drive it pulled to left - was told it would be sorted out as part of the deal (main Merc dealers and car is under warranty) so I thought fine. Car now booked in and apparently the left front alloy has suffered some damage and needs to be sent off for repair...

Would a buckled/bent alloy cause a car to pull to the left though? I appreciate it might vibrate / throw tracking out but the pull on the car is quite dramatic and holding the steering wheel right to counter the pull the left front tyre is scrubbing off at the outside shoulder.

Should I leave the dealer to it and simply test and reject if not rectified or begin asking if any other damage is present (wishbones / TR ends etc)?

A buckled alloy is very likely to cause the tire to lose air, either totally and instantly or like a slow puncture. A flat/partially flat tire will cause a car to pull to one side which could be what was happening.
