How much torque do they have?

You know, the ones the garages use to get bolts and stuff off?

I thought that might be the case.

I have a freind who has a Clarke 24 V 200nm cordless, but its disappointing with what it will remove.

The plug in ones have 450nm, so i guess what I am asking is, is 450nm alot? Is it enough to undo most things?

The ones in garages and Wheeler Dealers seem to shift anything.

its all about air flow..

the bigger the pipes from the compressor and the higher the pressure you push the compressor to.. the better they work.

until something goes horribly wrong of course biggrin

As said some are better than others, i bought an air gun rated at 600Nm and it wont shift some stubborn bolts on cars particularly the crank pulley.

As SystemParanoia says. They need a lot of air at high pressure otherwise you are wasting your time.
One of the most common mistakes is to try & use one with one of the curly plastic hoses, these simply can't pass air in the volume needed.
