PH Sticker etiquete
Discussion
Is there an established etiquette regarding PH stickers on cars? Should they go in a certain place?
Also other stickers in general? Where, if at all should your forum sticker go?
And when is it acceptable to have a trail of track stickers down the front door edge? (nurburgring track lay out for example, you know the ones I mean) as long as you've done a lap can you have one? even on your Ranault Scenic ?

With regards to circuit outlines and the Nordschleife in particular: I have a 'Ring sticker on my 944 but I havent driven that car around yet. I have driven similar cars since the nineties though and I dont feel bound by other peoples made up rules with regards to this.
Im not sure that Id ever place stickers on the leading edge of the door though - far too Fast & Furious...

I want a Heuer Monte Carlo so much it hurts.
Weve both missed the boat. I missed several sets for under £500 in 2007-2009 and a broadarrow marked set from a Tornado for even less! Now their prices are comical.
I have a tea box full of Heuer stopwatches and I will probably have another full before I have a pair that Im happy with. I do have a pair of Breitlings, but theyre not quite as because race car as Heuer.
Had you considered Hanhart?
I already have a nice matching set of Heuers but, like it or not, if you want to win these days (and I do) you need digital. On a rally last year my nav and I managed 66 seconds out over 1450 competitive miles. We won our class and came in 6th overall out of 58. The winner was within 9 seconds over the same distance - impossible with mechanical stopwatches sadly no matter how well calibrated.
They are fine to use for an evening rally or even a full 1 day - after that they're just not worth it if you want some silverware.

Which moves me on to my matching pair of Heuer Microsplit 1010s! I thought that they were frowned up, even if they were period, which the Heuer models are?
Frowned on by who?Since I started rallying the 944 I've had nothing but positive comments, including fellow competitors in far older cars. Obviously I'm running in the later category now but every competitive crew I know uses digi watches (and tripmeters for that matter). My combo of a Brantz International 2 + a couple of £10 digi stopwatches is absolutely bang on.
