LHC 1 on an old honda civic. Just checked classifieds, car gonna be worth £1k absolute max.

The plate, I am no expert but at least £10k my guess, so plate worth at least 10x the car.

Happy to be corrected on plate value!

I used to live near an old 206 with the plate '5 TOP'.

Plate has gotta be worth a fair bit!

Someone in my family owns 'SP1'. The last time I saw them it was on a SmartCar.

Regtransfers have "LHC 11" advertised for £14745 so that gives you an idea.

There seems to be a lot of '99-'02 Clio's about with private plates on them around my way, I'd imagine that in a lot of cases the plate is worth more than or atleast the same as the car.

1 JFK is now on a Citroen Burlingo. It used to be on an old Rover 214 in Birmingham.

It's probably cheaper than paying the £25 a year retention fee wink

So I would guess £20k + for LHC1.

Can anyone beat number plate worth 20x the car value?

There used to be an old Volvo (940 I believe) in the village my parents live with 7 UP as the plate.

Always thought it was pretty cool, growing up.

I remember seeing BV 6 or BU 6 on a Honda Jazz around here. The last time I saw it a Clio or something was wearing the plate.

What a plate is advertised for and what it sells for can be vastly different.

Having said that, any dateless plate with a combination of letters and a single number fetch a premium, and if that number is a 1 then even more so!

I would be very dubious on the values of plates being listed on this thread

Hmm, anybody know what 1 MDK might be worth? It's on a 2002 Mazda MX-5 at the mo.

There's an old Civic around Taunton with YOD4 on.

A minted Star Wars fan would pay top whack for that.

I regularly see a last model Cavalier with the reg 39F. That plate definitely must be worth more than the car.
