Attention Greenlaners ! How good are Daihatsu Fourtraks ?
Discussion
I've always loved Land Rovers and have tried before to get the cash together for a decent tdi/td5 90. As you know, they're bloody dear and I'm kind of getting bored of saving so hard tbh.
I've been looking at Fourtraks (really like the Fieldman versions). They seem to be commonly known as a Japenese Defender, a kind of cheaper but very good alternative.
I am right in gambling on a fourtrak having an edge on reliability ?
They look a bit more comfy, although I'm not that bothered there.
How do they compare on MPG ? Similar ?
What sort of money gets you a good, solid one ?
I reckon parts would probably be quite dear, should something go wrong but are the parts still readily available, as the newest Fourtracks are a good 11 years old ?
