Evening folks.

I am looking at changing my car! I want something alittle nice, and new, coming from a MK4 Ibiza.

Looking to spend £5000-6000 max! No verts either.

Something alittle fun, fairly quick etc. Looked at Meg 225, MK2 Leon 2.0T, RS197

Await your recommondations

Depends on running costs really and how many times you want to be filling the darn thing up!

Very limited then!

4 seater, sporty does 30mpg combined is a very rare thing. Can't honestly think of many off the top of my head.

That's what I am struggling with!

I have seen a few nice Mk2 Leon, but not massive is the sport department, but look fairly nice, decent engine and DSG, the stuff in we need.

Hmmmm.......

E46 330d. But will still average slightly less than 30mpg around town...

My 05 9-3 Aero did 30mpg; was fully loaded, comfy (bar a slightly harsh ride) and had plenty of space. You should be able to get a facelift car with a decent spec for your budget.

330ci, should just about get that, if you do some motorway miles too. should be hitting nearly 40mpg on a run.

A bit different, goes quite quickly. I like these, a bit more of a grown up hooligan car.

For £6K, I'm guessing he's going to want the engine and interior too.

The same engine in my E39 does 22 mpg around town.

Out of interest, why no convertibles, been the biggest positive move of my car purchasing career.

Not quite 30mpg (mid / high 20's), but they go like a train

I get 30mpg from my Civic Type R without having to try very hard? It's my daily driver (GT3 is my summer toy) and I think it's great fun plus reliability isn't really an issue.

You don't have to Vtec it everywhere to get going either, the engine has surprisingly good bottom end pull in any gear.
