Looking at buying a Leon 2.0 TFSI DSG at the weekend. Car has 74k on the clock with full seat history.

What's DSG like when in the higher mileage? And what are symptoms to look out for?

Many thanks

Make sure it has done no more than 40,000 miles at any point in its life without the DSG transmission oil being changed, and walk if it has. Don't rely on a dealer stamp either, as dealers don't necessarily do this as part of a normal service. You need to see the fluid and labour as specific items on an invoice, or a separate invoice from a dealer or good indie.

Given frequent oil changes, they are pretty reliable. When neglected they are ticking bombs.

Ok thanks.

Will ring and ask the garage. The car has a full Seat history but like you said. It's on 74k now.
