Head North, once you get past Harrogate or Skipton (whichever road you fancy) just see where the mood takes you. So many good roads nestled out there, you could keep going until Penrith without problems!

Apparently roads around Chapletown are good 'for a night out', just don't drive too slowly...

If you're driving at night on roads lit by your headlights, not street lights, why does it matter if it's policed or not?

On a night time hoon, surely your headlights are going to limit how fast you can drive?

No offence but if you're a new driver looking for roads for a night time hoon with no police then let me know in advance where you'll be so I can avoid it.

My favourite run used to be Otley to Pately Bridge, along the one where you pass the Sun Inn pub. Got to know that road like the back of my hand. From Pately Bridge I'd then follow the road until the turn off towards Appletreewick, then follow the road behind Bolton Abbey and then finally make my way back to Otley along the back roads above Ilkley Moor.

Since it's a complete circuit I used to time myself and then see if I could beat my personal best.

I am not looking to go over the speed limit, I actually kept 10mph below the limit during my drive tonight. I only asked the non-policed roads just to be on the safe side in case I went at the wrong speed but luckily all the roads were marked at what speed I should be going and I kept under the speed limit.
if you're driving at/below the speed limit and not 'spirited' why does it matter if they're 'good' roads, surely any plain road would do? also if u you seem to miss road signs, I would suggest daytime driving would be better...

I don't want to drive fast and end up crashing until I have a good amount of experience because I don't fancy killing anyone.

I would like to know some good roads for good night drive in or near Leeds? Something that is not heavily policed.

^^^^THIS^^^^ The roads upto and around the Sun Inn pub are epic, plus the pub is a great place for seeing some great cars & bikes.
Be warned though - get it wrong up on those roads - its a loooong walk home.
