They can, either in the standard chassis with lowered floor, bag seat, etc or in the SV chassis.

Not without a great deal of expense. Caterham, Westfield or maybe even an MK Indy will.

A Radical might fall within your budget, but Im not sure that youll fit. I can sit in the back of 944/968s and easily in a Mk2 MX-5, but Id expect to struggle to get in without a lot of misery and a long course of salad.

yes I raced one without the lowered floor and fitted fine with a tall cage (6'2", 16 stone ish) and there are bigger guys than me racing them. I had an SV previously and preferred the smaller chassis on track as it felt more snug (Admittedly the leather touring seats in the SV didn't help though.)

Get an R400 yes

I had an 'Audi Elise' track day car. S1 Elise with 1.8 Audi turbo engine conversion. It was running 260hp and would outrun just about anything up to about 120 where it ran out of puff. I could beat 400hp Japanese cars at Castle Coombe on the straights. It would also match GT3's up to around 100mph where they would leave me.

You can also consider a Honda VTEC supercharged engine converstion.

I think this would be a lot cheaper and more suited to track work than a S2000 which is also a fantastic car but expensive to heavily modify.

Drive both. Atom probably even more of an event than the Caterham but even less practical.
