I have a Vauxhall Vivaro that I am turning into a surf bus at the moment.

It is currently sporting crap Centre caps and looking very Builders van

Now the plan is to put some 18 inch alloys on next year but in the meantime I saw some vivaro have official trims that looked pretty smart, spray the steels matt black and wack these on in the meantime.

Now they cost £150 notes for a set !!

But seems that they do 16inch trims (same size as current wheel on van) for other vauxhall cars that look indentical, these are for a zafira. The only thing I can see that is different is the space for the air nozzle to poke through is a hole on thee and a cut out on the van.

Having never had a car or van with wheel trims I am not sure if tey are all the same or if a van will have a different fitting to a car wheel of the same size ?

Not sure about Vauxhall (I have a Transit Connect).

My steelies were getting very grubby so I just ordered a set of Fiesta items of ebay and thought if they didn't fit I'd fire them back on to the bay.

Fitted perfectly and tidied the van up a treat.

Maybe try and find a friendly Vauxhall owner with the same size wheels who'll let you try one?

My Vectra has these. In fact if I'm being honest, I had the car for two weeks before I realised I didnt have alloys! smile
When you take them off, the steel wheel isn't a conventional steel wheel. It's got five spokes, so I guess the hub caps are made to fit that specific steel wheel.

Also I didn't realise they were £150 a set! I might look into getting them secured somehow.

That was what made me think of getting them the look pretty smart for hubcaps.

Get some cable ties on them, £2 for silver ones on ebay

I eventually found a proper vivaro set for sale second hand on ebay that finished at 2 in the morning on a thursday, which I won for £40.

So today I spent a while sanding, cleaning and priming the steels, then used a whole 500ml can of matt black to spray them to hide the steel part behind the wheel trims.

I think they have turned out pretty well for a £40 stop gap

Don't mean to seem critical - but you can usually find some alloys pretty cheap on ebay - secondhand. £150 is a lot of money for something people steal all the time.

Steelies are cool. Just paint them white or something.

No worries but I don't think you read the thread well, I was saying I won;t pay £150 for offical ones and would copies costing less than a third fit. In the end I bought a offical set secondhand for £40. That way I get the look and get to use up the tyres that are on there till I get some alloys.

Decided whilst spraying the steels black that the bus would look great with black alloys.

Lidl are selling some acceptable one's at £10 a set at the moment. Worth a look.

I was looking for the caravan. Wanted alloys, but I'm not spending £500 for that, and am quite happy with the trims.

I know it's a pointless reply now, but the trims for all the other models are held on by the wheel bolts, and so have no retaining ring on the inside

I'd be wary the Vivaro bolts are a different figment to the car bolts, and they wouldn't fit

smile

Cheers Faxo, makes me pleased I went for the proper ones. I did notice a extra lip on the astra ones I looked at, that will be what they were for.

Might help someone else reading though, cheers.

The official Steels that they normally go on are called Sculpture Steels on the Vauxhall Range.

People saying those are easily nicked are wrong those look like the sort that are held behind the wheel studs, if you look at the holes for the studs you'll see there is a land for the stud to sit to. The old school method of fixing was easily nickable as the hubcap was held on with a spring hooked to the wheel.
