I pulled into Keele services today just about flatlining on fuel. However I wanted something to eat so followed the car park signs on the road. Before I knew it I was in the car park with the fuel station behind me and no way back. Is this the only services (northbound) that has the fuel before the services and not at the exit? I asked inside and they said risk the no entry. I nursed it to Sandbach.

Can't say I'd noticed that, some service stations have that odd layout with the fuel station pre-car park but have signs pointing back to the fuel station.

As an aside though I'm pretty sure there is a filling station at Jct 16 which might've saved you the astronomical premium they charge on fuel at motorway services at the moment, it seems to be well over 10p a litre extra these days!

I do too sometimes but I never buy more than £20 of fuel from them.

wow I'd have reversed back its fairly wide there especially the truck side, rather than do that than risk being stuck on the M6 with no fuel, there is one near Luton on the M1 a bit like that, horrible places.

Unless it's changed it does not look that hard to get to being honest.

The Shell garage at J16 isn't much cheaper than the motorway to be honest, I paid 1.46 or so p/l a couple of weeks ago. I'd been playing fuel light bingo long enough and backed out, wasn't convinced if get back to Stoke on what was left hehe

Thought about risking the no entry. However Sod's law I would have been in the path of a lorry or car coming off the motorway and then I would have been all that's wrong.

I'm pretty sure I paid 10p less than that at J17 last week.
